A team of 3 Countries won the Golden Trophy of Best Cook Fest 2018. Chef Radoslav Petrov who is a member of International Culinary Union participate for a first time as a Pastry Chef in that category and he show strong skills and great techniques. Chef Petrov is well recognized in the competitions in the International format and that experience gave to him a step forward to achieve the first place in that contest.

As a background of Mr. Petrov there are a competitions with more than 2000 competitors. He were in many countries and achieve many awards for Him, His Country and ICU. In the past 2 years he participate in Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey and now in Ukraine in that time he won more that 30 awards and honorary merits. He start as amateur and now he is a professional.

The Coach of the boys were Daniela Vlahovic who is a teacher in school and Honorary Member for International Culinary Union.

Mole’s Master Class During the Best Cook Fest Ukraine. The Presidents of ICU Chef Alberto Humphrey and Chef Mihail Zdravkov take a part in the Master Class there.

They represent traditional Mexican Mole sauce in two different ways one accompanying for Salmon and the other accompanying for Chicken.

In that master class our Chefs prepare the secret recipe and technology of Chef Alberto’s granny. All the ingrediencies were dispatched straight away from Mexico and specially selected from Mr. Alberto.

“You can not prepare Mole with typical flavour and taste if you do not use local Mexican products” – that Mr. Alberto said.

Some interesting facts for Mole:

Mole is a traditional sauce originally used in Mexican cuisine, as well as for dishes based on these sauces. Outside Mexico, it often refers specifically to mole poblano. In contemporary Mexico, the term is used for a number of sauces, some quite dissimilar, including black, red/colorado, yellow, green, almendrado, de olla, huaxmole, guacamole, and pipián. Generally, a mole sauce contains a fruit, chili pepper, nut, and such spices as black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, and chocolate.
