About the event
Join Kansas City’s Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, USA for the John Joyce Culinary Competition. This event has been held here at this college since 1985, adding the official name in 2001.
The John Joyce Culinary Competition would not be successful without the full support of Johnson County Community college, the Greater Kansas City Chefs association, the American Culinary Federation, and all the vast amount of ACF judges that have given their time here leading and guiding the competitors, student and professional. This year’s edition is also endorsed by Worldchefs and will have a variety of categories from traditional cold display, center piece, hot food cooking competition, mystery box events, and student teams. This will be one of the only events in the United States with both the support of the ACF and chefs.
